Since Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s impending DLC known as Sabotage is set to release tomorrow, the first-person shooter’s publisher Activision and its developer Infinity Ward have decided to give fans an better idea of what the game’s first batch of paid post-launch content will offer. Today, a brand new trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s Sabotage DLC pack has released that focuses on all of the expansion’s new multiplayer maps.
As seen below in the trailer courtesy of the YouTube channel for PlayStation EU, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s four maps on display are the environments of Neon, Noir, Renaissance, and Dominion. While Neon, Noir, and Renaissance will offer fans fresh experiences, as they are newly designed areas for Infinite Warfare, Dominion provides an update on an old classic, with Infinity Ward having made the map a re-envisioning of Modern Warfare 2‘s Afghan.
For the uninitiated, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s Sabotage DLC will not only include the aforementioned multiplayer maps, but also it contains a fresh Zombies experience called Rave in the Redwoods. The Zombies portion of the forthcoming expansion features director and actor Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma) as himself, alongside the four stars from Zombies in Spaceland.
Those looking forward to tomorrow’s release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare‘s Sabotage DLC should also be aware that it will only be available to PlayStation 4 owners first with the expansion launching for PC and Xbox One shortly thereafter. This is due to Activision and Sony’s timed-exclusive DLC contract the two companies inked a while ago for the first-person shooter franchise. As of writing, neither Activision nor Sony have officially unveiled when fans of the game who play on platforms other than PS4 will get the content, but if wait periods of the past are any indication, it shouldn’t be more than a month.
Considering the fact that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was officially declared the best selling game of 2016, it stands to reason that there are nearly innumerable fans eagerly awaiting the launch of the game’s Sabotage DLC. Although the franchise’s physical sales were down 50% last year with Infinite Warfare, tomorrow’s release of the game’s Sabotage DLC should still translate to respectable sales thanks to the series’ sizeable built-in fan base and status as a majorly recognizable brand. Taking all of this into account, it will be interesting to eventually see the total figures related to Infinite Warfare‘s profits once Sabotage and each subsequent piece of DLC becomes available.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with its Sabotage DLC launching tomorrow, January 31, 2017, on PS4, with PC and Xbox One to follow.
